Nina found yoga after being diagnosed with a medical condition in college that stripped her of her privilege to bike and run. She was put on medication and instructed to try out different diets that “might alleviate pain,” but continued to suffer for years. It wasn’t until she found hot yoga that she began to recover. Within a year, her pain was manageable, and now, almost a bad dream. Yoga helped her take back her life, own it, and now inspire others to do the same. She also uses food as medicine to fuel her body and keep it strong. Follow her on Instagram to find out how she maintains physical health through nutrition.



What would we find in your fridge right now? Everything green and raw and crunchy, fermentation experiments, and a leftover bottle of wine.

What did you want to be as a kid? An author/illustrator! I design and illustrate books by day so you could say my big kid dreams came true!

What’s your guilty pleasure? Burritos the size of my face. Frozen margaritas the size of two faces. And after that, solo living room twerking to Beyonce.

What’s your favorite part of a yoga class? The energy, sweat, laughter, and pure exertion of mind/body/spirit.
