Iris fell in love with yoga after being reintroduced to it during her time living and dancing in Israel. Having moved to NYC to study dance and biology, her dance background allows her to bring a unique perspective to the vinyasa flow and her biology background encourages her students to work intelligently and consciously with their bodies. 

Alongside her career as a yoga instructor and professional dancer, Iris is a graduate student at Columbia University. Her research in systems neuroscience explores the integration of movement practices and improvisation in everyday life. Her current work examines the effects of intentional movement on neural plasticity and other cognitive/behavioral processes.

What is your favorite thing about yoga class? When I leave not feeling good or bad, just balanced. 

If there was one thing you could tell your students what would it be? Your imaginations is limitless.
